channel estimation for mimo-ofdm systems
Channel Estimation Using Superimposed Training for Coherent Optical OFDM Systems
We demonstrate by simulation that the superimposed training based channel estimation scheme can achieve similar performance as compared with conventional schemes, without any loss in bandwidth. An iterative decision feedback algorithm is also developed to enhance the channel estimation. OCIS codes: (060.0060) Fiber optics and optical communication; (060.1660) Coherent communications
متن کاملNoise Reduction for Optical OFDM Channel Estimation
I N recent years, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has been proposed for optical long-haul communications due to the ease of equalization of the dispersiongoverned fiber optical channel [1]. The approaches pursued can be distinguished into two groups: First, there are coherent optical systems which use quadrature modulation at the transmitter and zero-IF (Intermediate Frequency...
متن کاملPMD Tolerant Direct-Detection Optical OFDM System
We show that PMD degrades the transmission performance of an optical OFDM system which is based on direct-detection and single side-band transmission. Maximum PMD tolerance can be achieved applying polarization diversity together with polarization control. Introduction Optical transmission systems deploying orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) have gained interest recently. Two pri...
متن کاملOpenFlow-Controlled Elastic Optical Networks with Direct- Detection Optical OFDM (DDO-OFDM) Transmission
We design and deploy an extended OpenFlow-based control plane for elastic optical networks with DDO-OFDM transmission, detailing the network architecture, the two-phase routing and spectrum assignment algorithm, OpenFlow protocol extensions and the experimental validation. Introduction An elastic optical network (EON), which is able to dynamically and adaptively allocate the necessary optical s...
